More about me…

I am an RN, Certified Nurse Psychotherapist, End-of-Life Doula and Expressive Arts practitioner. My practice is rooted in holistic care for the mind, body, spirit and soul and dedicated to walking alongside people through life-changing experiences.

Alongside my clinical training, I bring the insight and empathy that come from lived experience. My work is informed not only by evidence-based practices, but by the depth of my own healing journey — one that continues to shape how I hold space for others. I approach each session with presence, humility, and heart, grounded in the belief that healing is not about fixing imperfection, but about embracing it and remembering and reclaiming our innate wholeness. I have come to trust that even in pain, there is wisdom; that heartache can open us to beauty; and that transformation is not a destination, but a way of being.

Creativity lives at the heart of my practice. I believe we are all innately creative — not only in what we make with our hands, but in how we shape our lives, our stories, and our healing. As a published poet,  artist,  gardener, and restorer of old furniture, I find solace and meaning in the intentional acts of creation. I often weave these threads into my work, inviting clients to explore their inner worlds through gentle, guided practices that awaken expression and connection.

I’m grateful to live in the quiet rhythms of the countryside, alongside my partner and our beloved dog. We make our home on a magical acreage in the Comox Valley — on the Unceded Traditional Territory of the K’ómoks First Nation, the traditional keepers of this land.

Education | Experience

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with Distinction from Vancouver Island University. Furthering my professional development, I pursued specialized training through the College of Health Studies in partnership with the Canadian Nurse Psychotherapist Association, becoming a certified nurse psychotherapist. I also hold a certificate in End-of-Life Doula care from Rhodes Wellness College.

My therapeutic approach is informed by training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Posttraumatic Growth. In addition, I am certified as an Intentional Creativity Teacher, a Write Your Self Guide, and a Whole Health Medicine Professional.

Over the past 15 years, I have worked as a nurse clinician across both public and private mental health and addiction treatment settings. My experience includes providing one-on-one support and facilitating group psychoeducation. I am an experienced facilitator of early recovery programs, wellness and posttraumatic growth workshops, women’s sharing circles, and transformational, creativity-based sessions.

I am also proud to serve as an ambassador for the Waiting Room Revolution, a social movement dedicated to rehumanizing healthcare by placing the individual back at the center of care. In this role I provide workshop facilitation and education to those navigating a life-changing illness.
