1:1 COUNSELLING
rediscover wholeness | create meaningful change | cultivate resilience
Counselling with me:
I believe healing involves rediscovering your inherent wholeness and restoring inner balance by reconnecting with parts of yourself that need care and nurturing. In our work together, I honour your innate capacity for healing, growth, and change – seeing you as whole and resourceful even amid pain.
My role is to walk alongside you as you navigate emotions and patterns in thinking and being — creating space for clarity, self-awareness, and meaningful transformation.
My counselling approach is holistic, heart-centred, trauma-informed, and collaborative. As a nurse psychotherapist, my work is influenced by Watson’s Theory of Human Caring, which integrates scientific knowledge with deep humanistic and interpersonal interactions. My style is gentle, yet direct – blending knowledge with intuitive presence. I primarily use Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) alongside other therapeutic modalities, including:
-
- Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for trauma
- Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills
- Expressive Arts
- Internal Family Systems (IFS) informed
- Nature-based therapy
- Positive psychology
- Posttraumtic Growth
- Solution-Focused Brief Therapy
- Somatic practices
Who I work with:
Adults (19+) virtually across Canada, or in-person on Vancouver Island. I’m especially passionate about guiding women as they reconnect with themselves while navigating:
- Grief, loss, and bereavement
- Chronic health issues and life-changing diagnosis
- Caregiver or workplace-related exhaustion and burnout
- Trauma recovery
- Major life transitions
- Relationship challenges
- Substance addiction recovery
Credentials and insurance:
I am a Certified Nurse Psychotherapist (CNP), registration number: 10296.
If you have extended health benefits, please check with your provider to confirm if they cover counselling with a nurse psychotherapist – I can assist with this if need be.
As a nurse psychotherapist I’m a practicing Registered Nurse, licensed with the BCCMN and have completed additional education with the Canadian Nurse Psychotherapy Association.
